July 7 - we would both like to see more comments from everyone.  its a two way street.

Anyway we left McBride this morning at 7:45. It felt warm while we were loading up the bikes, but it was actually below 50 degrees.   as we were riding temperature dropped to 45 and stayed below 60 the whole day.  heated jackets were a necessity today.   we had light rain for a bit, but the roads were very wet.   so as 18 wheelers approached us in the opposite direction, you get hit first with a blast of cold air, quickly followed by a blast of cold water.  speeds today were 60-65.  approaching 50 mpg at that speed.   so our mileage was much better than when going 75 or 80.

Shortly after leaving the hotel i spotted a male moose on the side of the road eating.   later in the morning I saw Tony apply his brakes, so i then slowed and saw a black bear running across the road right in front of us.

we got stuck for a while behind a slow moving truck carrying a large conveyor, Probably headed for the gold rush crew in the yukon.

after dealing with the cold today we got to the town of Smithers in British Columbia.  stopped at the harley dealership. then decided to stay in this town for the night since the next town was a couple of hundred miles away.

so we got a room at the same hotel we stayed in last time we were here.   after checking in and unloading we went to the car wash and washed the dirt off the bikes along with  a couple of days of a heavy  accumulation of  assorted bugs on the front fairings and windshield.

tomorrow we head north and aim for the yukon.

 it was a great day riding  beautiful scenery and great roads. im tickled friggin pink. harleys rule. we passed a couple of hardcore beemers. see ya.
