into iowa. we completed 1048 miles today. we hit 1000 miles at about 930 ET. that was a total of 16 hours. stopped 5 times for gas, every 200 miles. i can report that the corn in indiana is about 6 feet tall now.

July 2 - up at 4am. met at gas station in miller place at 5am. left at 5:02am. we made it to george washington bridge in sixty minutes. no traffic! through NJ, Pennsylvannia, ohio, indiana, illinois, and finally crossed the Mississippi, the Ole Man,
into iowa. we completed 1048 miles today. we hit 1000 miles at about 930 ET. that was a total of 16 hours. stopped 5 times for gas, every 200 miles. i can report that the corn in indiana is about 6 feet tall now.
anyway when we hit 1000 miles we were greeted with a beautiful sunset in iowa. we can now get the coveted Iron Butt Award!!!
